It is an honour for me to be asked to contribute something on the occasion of Pakistan’s 75th anniversary. I took a few days this summer to explore and showcase some of the lesser-known historical sites of Lahore, one of the great cultural capitals of Asia.

Cultural engagement can provide a window through which young people can observe, experience, and understand the underpinnings of society and their heritage, inspiring them to catalyze positive transformation. I also wanted to showcase examples of where sustainable preservation initiatives will do well.
